LG Electronics has agreed to supply its premium LG Signature laundry appliances to U.S. retail chain Lowe’s.

LG Electronics announced on June 24 that it will start supplying its premium line LG Signature 29-inch washing machines and dryers to Lowe’s, a comprehensive home appliance retailer in the United States.

These products boast the largest capacity among home drum washing machines and dryers in the United States. Considering American customers’ preference for large-capacity washing, the washing machine’s capacity has been increased by more than 10% compared to the company’s previous models, while the product depth has been reduced by more than 5% to about 31 inches. As a result, despite being large-capacity products, they can be conveniently installed and used in utility rooms of typical American homes.

At the same time, the design identity of LG Signature has been maintained. The front of the product emphasizes simplicity by removing buttons or dials, allowing operation of even the mini wash with a single 7-inch touch LCD screen.

The improved washing and drying performance, which has become more convenient and delicate by adding artificial intelligence (AI) to LG Electronics’ core component technology, AI Core Tech, is also a strength. Using AI DD motor and AI sensor drying functions, it analyzes the weight, fabric type, and degree of contamination of laundry to apply washing and drying patterns that minimize fabric damage. Detergent and softener are automatically dispensed according to the amount of laundry and degree of contamination.

Convenience features using the AI home platform LG ThinQ are also supported. In addition to ThinQ Up, which continuously upgrades new AI functions to existing appliances, users can also utilize ThinQ Care, which easily checks and manages product conditions such as malfunctions or abnormal signs, and Smart Pairing, which allows the dryer to operate without separate settings by transferring washing machine usage data.

LG Electronics is strengthening its position in the United States, the world’s largest premium appliance market, based on high reliability and core component technology. Earlier this year, in the Best Large Capacity Washing Machine survey announced by the U.S. consumer media Consumer Reports, it swept the top three positions in the drum washing machine category, and in May, it ranked first in washing machine product performance evaluations by eight consumer media outlets in six countries.
