SPOTIFY CELEBRATES NEWLY LAUNCHED AI DJ FEATURE IN NIGERIA

Spotify hosts a star-studded dinner uniting influencers and media to celebrate the newly launched AI DJ feature in Nigeria.

The event took place at Ile Eros Restaurant in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos. It provided an opportunity for attendees to personally experience Spotify’s AI DJ, allowing them to interact with the feature and share their thoughts and reactions.

Guests were treated to an engaging conversation with Michelle Atagana, Spotify’s Head of Communications and Public Relations for Sub-Saharan Africa. During this discussion, she shed light on the DJ feature and explained why it is particularly popular among Gen Z and Millennials, who constitute 87% of its users. Atagana highlighted its user-friendliness and versatility as key factors.

Atagana described the DJ feature as an innovative tool that employs artificial intelligence to curate personalized playlists based on users’ listening history, moods, and preferences. Spotify’s aim is to revolutionize how users discover and enjoy music, ensuring that each listening session becomes a unique and enjoyable experience.

She stated, “The DJ feature represents the future of music personalization and brings us closer to our goal of strengthening the connection between artists and fans. We are excited to introduce it to our Nigerian users and remain dedicated to delivering a distinctive music experience through cutting-edge technology. As we continue to grow and evolve, we eagerly anticipate being a part of the incredible musical journey in Nigeria and beyond.”

The evening seamlessly combined music and culinary delights, offering guests a delightful three-course menu featuring the finest Afro-cuisine. This allowed them to savor exquisite dishes while immersing themselves in the best of Nigerian music curated by Spotify DJ.

As music enthusiasts across the nation embrace this new technology, the future of music in Nigeria appears more promising and tailored to individual preferences than ever before.
