Microsoft Celebrates 48th Year Anniversary

Microsoft (Microsoft) was founded on April 4, 1975, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA, by Bill Gates and Paul Allen, and celebrated its 48th birthday yesterday. Microsoft is now one of the world’s largest technology companies.

Microsoft has announced a week-long celebration on Twitter to commemorate my 48th birthday. The 1980s were a watershed moment for Microsoft, as it collaborated with IBM to turn a BASIC-based language interpreter into a full-fledged operating system. Windows 1.0 was an underwhelming success when it was released in 1985, but its successors were enormously successful, capturing the vast majority of the desktop and laptop market.

Microsoft plans to release a series of 1980s-themed retrospectives this week, the specific content of which is still unknown. It could be a daily highlight event from the company’s history, or it could be special edition wallpapers for Windows 11 users. Of course, if Windows 12 is released, the big news will be even better.

Perhaps the 48th anniversary is not a particularly joyous occasion, and the 50th anniversary may hold a greater surprise. IT House will keep an eye on what makes this Microsoft birthday celebration exciting.
